If you are a musical person and play a variety of instruments at all, then you will probably find the iPod Touch or iPhone device extremely useful as there are a variety of apps to help you learn new things in this area. One of these apps that we have come across is called Chords4Ukes and it helps people to learn the chords for the Ukulele instrument.
When you launch the app, you will be presented with its interface which basically consists of a list of chords on the left hand side of the screen and the actual chord diagram on the right hand side of the screen. This is excellent as it shows you exactly where you need to put your fingers on the Ukulele in order to form the chords. If you want to change the chord, you can simply pick a different chord from the list on the right hand side and the diagram will change. This is exceptional for learning new chords and makes it all extremely easy.
One of the downsides of the app however is that you cannot hear the chords on your iPod Touch or iPhone. This means that you will not really be able to tell whether you are playing them right and it would be a nice feature to implement on a future version of the app. However, to say that it is free it is useful for anyone wanting to learn the Ukulele.
