Apple has finally announced that the recycling program available in the United States will now be implemented in various parts of Europe very soon. The recycling program is going to function much like the one here in that you will essentially be able to send back old iPads and iPhones to be recycled and Apple will give you a credit for the value of the device.
Now this is a good thing for two reasons: first of all it is good for the environment because it really will keep waste out of landfills, and second it is a good thing because it will help keep Apple users loyal and will definitely generate more sales. The system is going to be in place and working sometime soon in the UK, France, and Germany so if you’re in these areas get ready for it.
